Make sure the user name does include any characters like a dash "-". We had
a similar problem with a customer account that was being caused by a dash in
the user name - connection would not pass the POP B4 SMTP test. When we
re-created the email account without the dash - the problem went away.

Does this include the underscore character (i.e., s10_username)?  I'm having
the same problem (on a RaQ2 - just installed the PB4S-1.2 this weekend), but
no error message is appearing in maillog.
