*Grin*  Okay, so I neglected to mention using:
	swapoff 
	mkswap /dev/<partition>
	swapon

Though I tend to consider it a given that anyone asking about
swap space questions would have at the very least read the
LAG available from the LDP http://metalab.unc.edu/LDP ;-)

I don't care how easy the distribution is, whenever you
decide to go 'under the hood' to tweak with things, you 
should first stop, rethink...RTFM...then think some more.
