[cobalt-users] security hole

I am leasing a RaQ2 from cari.net.  I have a permissions/security problem
that I have been trying to resolve for days.  Through IRC channels, and this
list, I have learned some information, but don't know how to fix the
problem.  Any help would be appreciated.

I am told that I am running my webserver as root, which is a bad security
hole.  My perl scripts are having problem creating directories and files and
reading/writing.  I have fiddled with permissions and ownerships a lot, but
haven't figured it out yet.
