RE: [cobalt-users] Email query

Mark, thanks for the reply, however Ian has ian and @domain.co.uk in his
alias box and Mervyn has mervyn in his alias box.

Therefore I cannot fathom out why mail for alias mervyn goes to alias ian.

Doesn't make sense. Or have I missed something glaringly obvious.

Ian.

Hopefully I am reading this correctly as it has been a very long day....

You have set an alias for IAN something to the effect of @domain.co.uk. If
this is correct then all mail destined for that domain is going to end up in
his mailbox and this is why he is getting mail addressed to Mervyn. Now I
assume what you want is to have 2 users on the system, IAN and Mervyn. You
want them to get mail destined for themselves. However you want any other
addresses not specifically assigned to the domain sent to IAN. These are
addresses that would normally be returned "no such user" If this is the case
look at the archives for "catchall"

Thanks for nothing.

I have looked through the archives, but I cannot find the answer. I always
try to research the answers first, but then I thought the idea of this list
was to assist, or have I got it wrong?

You might know the answers, but many others do not. That is why we are on
the list.

If anyone can assist me I would be grateful.

Ian.
