BGP is border gateway protocol which is commonly used for load balancing and
fault tolerence. it can allow multiple machines through multiple providers
to share a single ip address by using "virtual ip's" and re route traffic
depending on their usage and whether they are up. my company is looking into
using this as we speak...

Thanks for all the responses. I definitely have some research to do.
I looked into a UUnet connection. They are at least $1200/mo. Neither
my cable company or dsl company will allow me to run dns. Right now
the best thing to do is to co-locate if I want to use a raq. I
really wanted to be able to walk into work and see those in the
equipment racks, but I have pay for them somehow. I've never set up
a DNS anyway., so its probably better I don't mess with it. What is
BGP and ASN? (This shows the extent of my knowledge).
Thanks,
Steve
