I asked Cobalt tech support about this the other day while I had them on 
the phone for another issue. They said it is a "known anomalie" tied to the 
battery on the motherboard (that's a confidence builder). They said the 
only way to get it to tell the correct time (for the moment) is to use a 
NTP server. I did this and it has been fine ever since.
