RE: [cobalt-users] Entries in /var/log/messages

My RaQ2 started getting this too AFTER I ran the Kernel update package from
the Cobalt website (official, not experimental). It doesn't seem to have
caused me any problems (20 days on now), but it is quite annoying as it
REALLY fills up the log file.

Subject: [cobalt-users] Entries in /var/log/messages

I notice in my /var/log/messages file I have the following entries every few
hours.

Feb 27 00:00:04 firewall kernel: Swansea University Computer Society IPX
0.34 for NET3.035
Feb 27 00:00:04 firewall kernel: IPX Portions Copyright (c) 1995 Caldera,
Inc.
Feb 27 00:00:04 firewall kernel: Appletalk 0.17 for Linux NET3.035
Feb 27 00:00:06 firewall proftpd[24173]: FTP session closed.

Anybody know why I'm getting these entries since I don't have Appletalk or
IPX running on the network.

- Desmond
