Not a good idea to have common names for user names. If you have a user
called "tom" he will get any mail addressed to
tom@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Not a lot of fun when so many spammers
use "dictionary attacks" to send Spam.

The best thing is to *at least* use the default on the GUI that gives you,
e.g., for Tom Smith the user name tsmith. Then you just create an email
alias of "tom" so they can get email to tom@xxxxxxxxxxx Best is to come up
with a scheme so that you assign user names like t4smith. (Tom Smith Site
4). This way, not only would someone have to guess a password, but the name
isn't just alpha characters so putting a user name together with a password
becomes more difficult.

It's not a Cobalt limit, but for virtual domains, it's a Linux thing.
