[cobalt-users] Response from Technauts, Inc. about their SPAM!

I thought some of you might like to see this response I got from Craig Payne
at Technauts, Inc. about the SPAM that one of their reps sent to many of us
on this list.

I sent a pretty scathing e-mail to Mr. Weeks and every other corporate
officer's e-mail I could find!  Actually I guessed at about 7 e-mail
addresses for everyone from the CEO down by finding their names on their
website and only one bounced, not to bad for guessing ;-)

Dear Mr. Aronoff,
Thank you for bringing to my attention the email you received last week from
one of our sales representatives. I assure you that it is not our corporate
policy to either send unsolicited email or to approach people in this
manner. Although we carefully monitor, and to some extent even script, what
our salespeople are communicating to the public, this particular email was
sent without my approval or knowledge. I accept full responsibility, as it
happened on my watch, and sincerely apologize for any discomfort or
inconvenience it caused you. The matter has been handled with disciplinary
action and steps are being taken to assure it does not happen again. Thank
you for taking the time to alert us to this situation and best wishes.
