That's when you post, "I was getting x error message. I searched the
archives and found A, B & C."

No matter what. The first stop should have been www.cobalt.com as a matter
of common sense, where you easily find links to
http://list.cobalt.com/mailman/listinfo/cobalt-users/ and the search tools.
>Of course, if someone is versed enough in mailing lists, this isn't a
problem as they simply "unsubscribe" via a plain text email message.. But
for many uses (esp. new ones) it is.. esp. when they follow the link as
instructed and find no additional information.. Remember the 40 threads
just a week ago by someone just trying to find the web page so they could
"unsubscribe" to get off this list...???
How did the subscribe in the first place? What happened to the email they
received that gave all the instructions and a user name and password?
Even a search of Infoseek for Cobalt|Server|FAQ finds
http://www1.simplenet.com/support/faqs/faq-raq.html with many basic
questions answered.
