This is from the US Trademark search
NO CLAIM IS MADE TO THE EXCLUSIVE RIGHT TO USE "COBALT" APART FROM THE MARK
AS SHOWN

They can only Trademark the style of the word. IE: their logo.
Nobody can trademark the word cobalt, because it is a shade of a color. It
is like trying to trademark the name Navy (like Navy Blue) or trying to
trademark an actual color.
