RE: [cobalt-users] IP WEB Access

Typically apache uses the first one found in /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf You
could just re-arrange that file, Just make a backup first.

Thanks!

Is there a way to "change" which named-based site is bound to the IP
address?

For example, I create

	www.hosting1.com and use 10.1.1.1
	then create
	www.hosting2.com and use 10.1.1.1

If I access 10.1.1.1 it brings up www.hosting1.com. This is OK but my
questions is what if I want to goto www.hosting2.com. I know I could
uninstall all sites bound to that IP address and re-create them in the order
that I want but I am trying to not go through the trouble.

Thanks

You would then have to use a separate IP for each domain. with named based
hosting apache looks at the request and then hands you to the apropriate
site. If you enter the ip address apache has no way of knowing which site
you want therefore it will always hand you out the first site bound to that
IP address.

Your 2 options:
Give every site a different IP
Dont use IP address when calling sites via a browser

When I setup multiple domains on a single IP address, I notice that if I try
to access by the IP address, I get the first domain that I created for that
IP address. Is there anyway that I can force anyone access by IP to go to a
specific site?

Thanks
