[cobalt-users] Raq2: How does one enable IO:Socket?

I have a client that has a script that requires me to run IO:Socket.
Specifically, the documentation states, 

"This script does require IO:Socket which is a standard app in most unix
applications, if your server does not have it just ask your admin to enable
it."

I'm not sure how to do this.  Can someone please help?
