The first number is generational and the second is version.  When the "x"
value increases and doesn't change generations, each Update needs to be
installed otherwise the vulnerability still exists.  When a new generation
of Update gets released, the first one--3.0 in this example--will include
all of the previous version's incremental updated--all the x's."

I want to make sure my RaQ2 is up to speed with the latest (working)
security patches and updates.  I noticed that there are several updates on
the cobalt ftp server.  Normally I would expect that if I installed the
latest patch that the older patches would be included.  With
RaQ2-Security-2.94.pkg being only 2K I can't imagine that this is the case.

Do I have to install all of the patches in the order that they were
released?  What would happen if I tried to install only the latest patch?
