Subject: [cobalt-users] Log Files
Does anyone have a proven method of deleting log files, and resetting web
stats??? i.e. a CGI Script that works would be something ! I am supprised
that Cobalt haven't looked at this and developed a script that could be
executed via server admin GUI ..
We have a few customers sites with log files getting to become quite large
,,hmmmm very very large. Any help would be appreciated.

The log file on my little Qube2 was running close to about 20Mb, so I FTP'd
the httpd log files over to a workstation as a backup, deleted the files
that were on the server, and then did a reboot.... Oh, and following on
from the reboot, I reset the damned date and time again... Why Oh why isn't
the Q2 fitted with a non-volatile RTC?
After doing the above, the stats returned to zero, and all was
fine...Although like you, I'd prefer a prettier web interface thingy to do
it... a lot of messing around for the no so Linux aware....
