[cobalt-users] RaQ3 and SSL Full Strength Sessions (128-bit)

Hi Group,

I just installed a new certificate from Thawte (in root) of on a RaQ3i. But
I've never been able to generate more that a 40 bit (low) encrypted page. I
first initialized the built-in 56-bit SSL server on the RaQ3 to generate my
initial external certificate request. Then I installed the external
certificate once received via the web interface. What am I missing (to
obtain 128-bit encryption)...?

Thawte's web site states: If your server supports full strength sessions and
the browser connecting to your site supports 128 bit, then a 128 bit session
key will be created and used.

The Cobalt RaQ3 user manual states (on page 96): SSL is provided in 56-bit
encryption code. For North America and Canada, an upgrade to 128-bit
encryption is available.

What's (where's) the upgrade..?? I thought the "upgrade" was when I
purchased the external 128-bit certificate from Thawte (instead of using the
open code SSL 56-bit version pre-installed). Is there an upgrade from
Cobalt for the RaQ3 for the server side as well..?

Regards!
