Humm.. Currently we have our bandwidth set to 1000k for shared hosts (10
hosts to 1 IP) with no problems thus far (we're just starting to migrate
users to the new machine).
My question is -- I read somewhere in this group earlier in the month -that
when you set a bandwidth limit on an IP, that limit is divided equally among
all hosts on that IP.. (e.g., 10 hosts on 1 IP set with 1000k bandwidth
limit = 100k bandwidth max per each virtual host).. This isn't correct (or
possible) is it..?? To my understanding each host on the IP *could* obtain
the 1000k limit at any given time/connection regardless of how many hosts
share the IP (unless of course they were all connected simultaneously)..
Cheers!
