RE: [cobalt-users] Raq3 file "/etc/cron.daily/ntpdate.auto"

Looks to me like there's a script being run in /etc/cron.daily that's got an open single quote somewhere that's not being closed before the end of the file.

Simply stated, now your job is to find it <smile>.

Until you do, there's probably a bunch of stuff that's not being run <frown>

Good luck!

What type of error messages are you getting?

I get the following error message e-mailed to me from root each night for
the last few with the subject
"Cron <root@www> run-parts /etc/cron.daily"

sh: unexpected EOF while looking for `''
sh: -c: line 2: syntax error
sh: unexpected EOF while looking for `''
sh: -c: line 2: syntax error
sh: unexpected EOF while looking for `''
sh: -c: line 2: syntax error
sh: unexpected EOF while looking for `''

but I have not linked it to ntpdate.auto but rather to a script I have that
run the Urchin Web stats software.
