logon as admin then use the su- command and use the same password as
admin.
if you do this, the su- command brings you to root.

Root does NOT work from telnet.  I could tell you how to make it work,
but 
that's very insecure behavior.  Instead, if you MUST use telnet (which
is 
very insecure behavior in and of itself) log in as admin, and su to
root.
