Re: [cobalt-users] Administering DNS on a RaQ2

Thanks for the help Jeff. I am getting much closer to understanding what I
need to do. Just a couple more questions.

Given that I am only have a single machine should I be running my DNS
server as primary or secondary? Let's say I use my ISP's DNS for the
other. Will I still have to depend on their very slow people for entering
information in their DNS servers?

Let's say I have a my RaQ2 setup so www.bluestreak.net is the main site and
have a few virtual sites setup too. I assume the IP address for the DNS
server has to be different than the main site's IP address. So how do I
assign an IP address to the DNS server? And then there is the naming of
the server. Suppose I want to call it ns.bluestreak.net. Can I do that
with the RaQ2's admin pages?

It seems that it would be less work for the ISP to let me handle reverse
DNS. What does the ISP have to do differently if I am handling it?

Thanks again,
