Gary,
I want to thank you for sharing your experiences on this subject. Hopefully
it will save someone from making a potential mistake, or at least let an
unbeknownst buyer aware of the past history.
I also hope that everything worked out for you and your (former?) customers,
and that it didn't adversely affect your own repuation too much.
How did you 'break' the news to your clients that you were selling them off?
Did anyone get really upset, or did most people just go with the flow? I am
just curious to know how hard it is to transfer customer bases from one
company to the next and potential pit-falls that may be avoided.
Thanks!
