RE: [cobalt-users] Adding hard drive space to a Qube 2

Adding a hard drive is easy. making it work propery w/o affecting the RaQ
is difficult.
You need to change the cable and make sure the SCSI ID's are different. You
also need to make some sot of mounting bracket so the drive doesnt shift
around when moved. I drilled holes through the bottom of my RaQs to
accomodate the second drive.

Lastly if you got a RaQ with the 4GB HDD, then I'd also add RAM since your
probably came with only 16/32MB

JFYI I use Nortons Ghost Software to make a perfect hard drive image of my
raQs BEFORE I even turn them on. Takes me less that 5 minutes to install a
new one if I need/want too.
PLUS I can throw in a replacement drive and re-install the OS in under 5
minutes, then do a restore from my last backup.
Ultimately this lets me restore a RaQ2 and RaQ3 in under 20 minutes.
