I have to protest, thou, hoping that you're not right :-)
In my theoretical knowledge of Linux and bandwith issues the 1500 users
checking their accounts, even frequently should pose no big system load.
Bandwidth is not an issue, since we're on a ISP's 100mbit LAN.
That said, i would guess then that QPOP isn't the wisest daemon to use to
serve large base of users and connects. Additional to that, i have to say
that other virtual domains at Raq don't exceed average 10 users per
domain.
But then again, i just might be wrong and i live in illusion that linux
can serve that w/o problems.
