RE: [cobalt-users] MySQL

You'll need MySQL and MyODBC.

You can get MyODBC at http://www.mysql.org/download_myodbc.html

and there's a nice weekends reading worth of reference material here:

http://www.mysql.org/doc.html

There are a lot of issues with Access 97 vs Access 2000 db's and
MySQL imports.

Do a search for 'myodbc' here:

http://lists.mysql.com/

Subject: [cobalt-users] MySQL

Help i'm a newbie to RAQ, so please bear with me.

I have a client wanting ODBC support (uses Access for his database)

Am i right in saying i need to install Mysql ?

If so - how do i do it exactly (i know where to get it-but not what to do
after that.)

Does my client need to know or change anything and do i need anything
else?(he had his database running perl scripts on a unix machine)

Any help greatly appreciated

Neil
