I'm relatively satisfied with my RaQ2, but don't know that I'd buy
another. The only thing it has going for it for me is the 1u height. I
find the web-administration not as flexible as I'd like. Yes, it speeds
things up, but I can do the same with scripts and my own webpages.
However, if it does what you want it to do, then that's good.
But the newer RaQ3 seems to have better
features to it.
It already has a secure server, as I understand. That's good, since people
have had trouble installing them (I've installed them from scratch using
patches, and I've used Red Hat's packaged secure server).
Has anyone used both?
I'm sure, but not me <smile>.
And is the RaQ3 the better investment?
Definitely. The hardware is mainstream. It's based on x86 architecture,
meaning it's more mainstream, and some proprietary software is available
for it that's just NOT available for the RaQ2 (i.e.: realserver).
Jeff
Thanks
Kevin
