I wouldn't want to do that for every user that logs into the machine. What
you basically want to do is a logon script. You can do this with Samba, if
I am not mistaken. http://www.samba.org -- look for logon / login scripts.
Basically, Samba would be emulating a Windows NT login. I remember reading
about doing this at one point so I am fairly sure that it can be done.
