This is what I'm trying to avoid.  This client brings in a lot of business,
so we try to help them any way we can.

This seems like a easy problem to fix - just bounce the mail back off the
domain as if it just came in for the first time and it goes where it's
supposed to, but all the references and faqs I have read on everything from
mail to pine to sendmail don't mention any such situation.
