[cobalt-users] Qube2 NTP
Whenever I try to synchronize my Qube2 to an NTP address (128.252.19.1) using
the web interface I get "NTP Server is unreachable."
However, I can login in to root and telnet to the same address with no
problems.
I cannot ping out because our firewall prevents pings to outside the domain.
Does NTP use the same port address as Ping? Could that be the reason I
cannot reach the ntp server?
Where does the ntp software reside on the Qube2? I tried to ntp -n
128.252.19.1 while logged on as root, but got a ntp command not found error
message. I found the ntp.conf files and the ntp directory with keys, but no
ntp program.
Thanks.
