Howabout free / open source?  Probably the most popular LDAP server out
there is OpenLDAP.  I think the page is www.openldap.org.  It is not the
eaisiest system to set up, but if you are familar with LDAP, it shouldn't
present a problem.

There are several third party apps that can run on the qube.  I would,
however, suggest creating your own using PHP and MySQL.  I have been
comptiplating doing this for the Qube.
