syslog rotate and Re: [cobalt-users] RAQ2: Problem with mem

We are getting the same. We have about 165 sites on our RAQ2, maybe 5
sites get more than 5k hits a day. Mail is hosted on this server for only
about 15 sites. When this occurs we can telnet in, httpd does not respond
the LCD panel does not repsond either, so we have to power off and power
back on the server. So far fsck has done it's job, but it takes forever
for it to run and the entire time we are crossing our fingers. Load in
negligable on the server when monitored, I have never seen it over 1.5 for
any length of time and normally sits at .20.

Most sites have stats turned off, especially daily stats, few have weekly
turned on. With regularity our server locks up on Saturdays when weekly
stuff is being run. It looks like it is a problem with the syslog rotate
for the saturday problems, but the other days I have no idea.. Anyone have
ideas?
