Ok. Here.
Go to Control Panel >> Network
Cobalt Server Name: ienc
Domain Name: com
Primary DNS Server Address: 216.167.2.184
Secondary DNS Server Address: What the Primary was before you chaged it
originally.
DNS Settings for ienc.com
ienc.com -> 216.167.2.184
ns1.ienc.com -> 216.167.2.184
ns2.ienc.com -> 216.167.12.216
www.ienc.com -> 216.167.2.184
You do not need to create a Virtual Sites as the ns1 and ns2 @ ienc.com only
need DNS entries. Now when you go to Network Solutions register the nameservers:
ns1.ienc.com with IP address 216.167.2.184
ns2.ienc.com with IP address 216.167.12.216
Now what we do is keep those IP addresses separate and when we create new sites
we assign them to anyother IP address that is assigned to us which for you would
be:
216.167.12.217
216.167.12.218
216.167.12.219
216.167.12.220
216.167.12.221
216.167.12.222
216.167.12.223
That is when you use a virtual site when you add another domain. When adding
virtual sites they all can be assigned to the same IP address. Use 'www' as the
hostname when adding new Virtual Sites. Say you wanted to at the domains
domain1.com and domain2.com you would create the Virtual Sites:
Hostname: www
Domain: domain1.com
IP Address: 216.167.12.217
Hostname: www
Domain: domain2.com
IP address: 216.167.12.217
In the DNS create the following entries:
domain1.com -> 216.167.12.217
www.domain1.com -> 216.167.12.217
Secondary Nameserver -> ns2.ienc.com
domain2.com -> 216.167.12.217
www.domain2.com -> 216.167.12.217
Secondary Nameserver -> 216.167.12.217
That should do it. You will be all set.
