I have a script named errpage.cgi which emails me an error message plus all
environment variables whenever a server error occurs. Some time ago, I made
it available for members of this list to download, at
www.webmost.com/scout/errpage.zip.
I have been puzzled ever since by a number of 404s (sent to me by this same
errpage script), telling me that people have been unable to access the zip
file. Today, I figured it out.
If you are using an email client such as Outlook Express, you can simply
click on the link in your email, and the file will download.
If, however, you type the URL into your browser address bar, you will get a
404. Somehow, the server will provide the .zip file to a hyperlink, but
returns a 404 to an address bar.
Therefore, the easy way to reach errpage.zip and other such files for
download is to go to www.webmost.com/scout, then click on the appropriate
link.
Some other things you will find there:
Amnesia - for the married pornsurfer - erases Netscape history list
ApacheScout - searches the included Apache directives
VB_KB - does the same for VB knowledge base
upload - file upload/download scripts
