Steven,

	just to answer the question of how high can it go. Until we
moved some sites around we had one RAQ2 w/ 256 ram keep an average
load of 95-99 during peak hours of the day. The machine became
useless during these times, taking 25-45 seconds just for a simple
html request.

Wow.  I'm curious what the highest load average a RaQ2 can have.  Mine has
128MB ram and the load average was over 16 the other day and it took forever
to get in, run top and then kill some processes.  And I have no idea what
caused your problem.
