Hi Tobe,
I saw a few email from you on this list. I don't know if you got your SQL
running. So, far I haven't been able to compile the 3.22.29 version, but I
have the 3.22.27.rpm available if you want them. I can put it on a FTP
server some place if that help.
I am still working on the 3.22.29 as they said it would probably be the last
update on the 3.22 version. So, it should be the most stable one and I will
get it up an running on my server. It is always a question of time. I am not
a guru in lynux but I do what I can!
Daniel

I had already tried to install a copy and was having difficulty. If I
download the source code from
ftp.digex.net/pub/packages/database/mysql/Downloads/MySQL-3.22/MySQL-3.2
2.29
-1.src.rpm
and do a re-install, will it cause a problem if I have a previous copy
loaded? Can I just re-install over the top of it or do I need to
delete/uninstall the old stuff?
Could you send me step-by-step install instructions for once I get the
source code downloaded?
Thanks for your help.
Tobe

Hi Tobe,
I am sure you can find help and don't have to pay for it. I can help you
installing it. I am not a pro, but I did compile my own and I am running
the
version 3.22.27 on my server. I am compiling the version 3.22.29 that was
release yesterday from www.mysql.com and I can provide you with the .rpm
files if you want or I can provide you with instruction to compile your own
if you prefer. Some users prefer to create their own in case of virus,
etc.
Either way, I will do what I can to help out and pass it to a more
experimented guru if I get stuck.
Daniel

I am having some trouble w/ the installation of mysql on my RaQ2. Is there
someone out there that would be willing to help me get it set up and going
- either for free or for a fee.
Sincerely,
Tobe Johnson
