All this should be no problem with a decent UPS -- I suggest the Alpha
Technologies line, but they are expensive.  A 700VA or 1000VA UPS will power
a rack for HOURS.  Not too bad for a $500 investment.  If you don't have one
currently, I really suggest that you get one.

I have three UPSs on various machines.

But, I saw no reason to needlessly
test their capabilities ... :-)
