It is his "signature"; no doubt about it.

There happens to be a standard for signatures. Years ago I used to think it was in one of the RFCs, but I can't find it there, so maybe it's not.

However, by convention, and going back many years, a signature should begin as mine do, preceeded by a line on which there is nothing but two hyphens and then one space.

No, you haven't seen a signature of mine on the list, since I haven't used one on the list.

However, I'm putting a signature at the end of this post, so you'll see what I mean. If you go to any of the sites shown in the sig, you'll find them to be placeholders; I'm still working on actual sites <frown>.
