It's simple - 256MB is about 2x the ramsize of 128 Mb ;-)
- Just Kidding -
You will only see a performance improvement if you host very large or demanding
sites. For example huge Databases that need much Ram for caching often used
information. Another Ram-Killer-Applikation would be streamingservvers like
RealNetworks or QuicktimeTV, but I won't use them on a RaQ anyway ;-)
Bye the way - you can always upgrade memory by yourself. If you get a 128 Mb
machine today and need more Ram in some weeks or months the memory prices will
be cheaper, too.
