Hi,
We did this to all our RaQ1 servers and have never looked back. The new
software is a lot more stable and we have not had to reboot most of these
machines at all since doing so approximately 4 months ago. One of these
servers is under a very heavy traffic load and it has not so much as had a
glitch since doing so.
One downfall is that there is no easy way to transfer your existing sites
over. We had to tar the /home/sites directory and then recreate each site
again via the GUI and untar the files into their respective directories.
There is a slight change in directory structure as well. If you search the
Archives, we are sure you will find a number of posts in reference to how
others have made this transition.
If your current setup is working fine for you, then you might just want to
leave it as it. This is really your decision, but for us, we had so many
problems with units crashing under load, that we had to do something.
Best wishes,
Ali & Charlie
