RE: [cobalt-users] [RAQ2] Remote Backup Solution

There are are already companies offering backup services. What dennis looking for, and what I'd like to provide, is a company that will rent (or give) him space on their servers for automated backups. He (and I) would like it to work automatically and transparently through the interface already available on Cobalt RaQ boxes.

At least that's my take on it. If I'm wrong, I'm sure Dennis will let us know.

The need is a real one, and one I've already thought of as a fillable niche. I'm not kidding when I say I'm working on it.

I'll have a website up soon with a list of all the wholesale solutions we have available for ISPs, hosting companies and others, but right now I'm just busy closing out my relationship with the ISP I just sold out of, and creating the infrastructure for the new one, my third since 1994.

Thanks for your interest (if you've got any <smile>).

Okay I'll admit I'm lost. What's the difference between the server
automatically FTP'ing the data to any other FTP server in the world and what
you said above?
