When I run:

[root /etc]# makemap -v hash /etc/virtusertable

all I get is a screen that never returns to the prompt.

When I hit ctrl-C I get a prompt back, and the file virtusertable.db 
exists, and it's the same length as the original, but a "diff" command 
shows it to be different.

But then sendmail doesn't receive mail until the old virtusertable and 
virtusertable.db files are restored from backups.

Anyone know what's up?????

I'm currently putting virtual domain addresses into sendmail.cf under 
ruleset 98, but I'd much rather use virtusertable.
