Never did it on a RaQ, but I don't see why this won't work; I do it all the 
time on Intel Linux boxes:

Telnet in (actually, I use SSH, but that's another issue entirely).
SU to root (if you use SSH, you can SSH right into root).
Change to the directory holding the user's mailbox.
Delete it.
