They're ALL owned by root, httpd is the group on some of them. There's
nothing wrong with your rotate files and I'm guessing the ones which are
group httpd are probably Frontpage enabled sites.
Also don't worry about serveradmin in apache configuration. It's purely an
information variable and if people write CGI's they can call that variable
as the owner of the virtual host, but apart from informational purposes it
serves no real purpose.

Hello all!
I just found a former entry on the list in the archive concering log
rotates. I did telnet onto my RaQ2 and did make a listing of
/etc/logrotate.d. Here's an excerpt:
-rw-r--r-- 1 root httpd 116 Dec 11 20:40 site1
-rw-r--r-- 1 root httpd 59 Sep 29 08:52 site10
-rw-r--r-- 1 root httpd 59 Oct 5 21:43 site11
-rw-r--r-- 1 root httpd 59 Oct 22 15:50 site12
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 59 Oct 29 23:20 site13
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 59 Nov 24 15:08 site14
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 59 Nov 5 17:47 site15
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 59 Nov 5 18:21 site16
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 59 Nov 25 22:38 site17
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 59 Nov 24 15:10 site18
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 59 Nov 23 19:16 site19
-rw-r--r-- 1 root httpd 59 Sep 27 22:25 site2
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 59 Nov 27 15:46 site20
-rw-r--r-- 1 root httpd 59 Dec 8 22:13 site21
Does anybody know why some site logroate files are owned by root and some by
httpd ?
I did encounter the same problem on the file HTTPD.CONF where the
ServerAdmin directive is sometimes set to Admin and sometimes set to siteX
where X is the number of the site.
Can anybody explain me what's happening ? Thanks.
Manuel
