I installed DBI DBD for use with MySQL and MiniVend - works just fine.

Have a look at ftp://ftp.cobaltnet.com/pub/experimental - all the modules
are there.

I haven't upgraded perl (yet) as I think this can void your warranty, but I
assume that if installed in a different directory should be OK
