I was one of the people it happened to, and let me tell you it was a nightmare.
on a raq2, this is what I did to fix it. I'm sure there are probably
people who know a lot more about it than me, but I never got a straight
answer from anyone when it really counted, so hopefully you'll have
better luck.

Make sure your dns ip is listed in the "network settings" as either the
primary or secondary ip, if you have the dns option turned on

don't use any cname records for mail, use "A" records

reset "accept email for this domain"

kill all the letters in mqueue if you have to.

reinstall the whole offending domain.

reboot.
