[cobalt-users] Raq2 Web Stats

Greetings

I was browsing around the knowledge base looking at various
questions/answers on different subjects when I came across a question that
referred to the Raq2 2 Web Stats engine. Firstly, I should tell you all that
I come from the generation that believes that there are 'lies, lies, and
then damn statistics' and secondly that in truth there is doesn't seem to be
a web stats program that stands out from the rest in terms of accuracy and
features (tell me if you know better).

Back to the point...... the questionnaire asked if Web Analog or Analog was
installed on the Raq2. Cobalt replied that it was but that any changes made
to the config file would potentially crash the web stats program. My
question is: Can Analog be installed be updated/changed? Can a second Analog
be installed that doesn't use a Java interface and be run alongside the
existing software. Secondly. Has anyone any experience of this?

The reason I ask is that I have a couple of sites that depend on good
(relative to what's around) stats to sell their wares to potential sponsors
and also has anyone seen what web trends is asking for a server licence to
run WT on a Linux box?

Bye

Jonathan.
