Whoops! Sorry I didn't mean to leave that out, but I'm glad it all worked
out ok!
But in answer to your last question, I believe they reject at the header
(try the following from a remote shell to try it:)
mail -v user@xxxxxxxxxx
Subject: Blah
Testing
.
CC: (blank)
The dot is essential as it ends the e-mail. And then it'll show the send as
it does it so you can see where it rejects.
