Re: [cobalt-users] HTML Posting WAS Re: Raq3 feature - fix for raq2?

Ahoy

1)
>(Remember that some users pay by the minute to stay online).

Who the crap pays by the minute? I can't imagine why. For fifteen bucks a
month, you can get all the time you want. Anyone in our business should
surely consider that a bargain.

2)
>don't post HTML or binaries.

Who can't read HTML mail? I can't imagine why not. It just looks nice. If
you don't have it, go get it. As long as it doesn't cost anything to climb
out of the stone age, why not give it a try?

3)

What's the big diff if I reply here or below? Beats me. I, personally, find
it easier to follow intercalated responses, rather than responses before or
after. (Intercalated means stuck between, like this, so that the response is
right beside what is being responded to.)

4)

Okay, fine. So when I post to the group I try to avoid HTML, binaries, etc.,
just to be courteous to people who are stuffy enough to think it matters.
But don't pretend that it makes sense; it doesn't. I'm far more interested
in whether someone says something sensible well than in whether he includes
a GIF for his cartouche or a long quote from Emerson for his closing motto.
Sense is what makes sense. And if he wants to dress up his mail and make it
pretty, then, hey, go for it. I might even dig his Emerson, print it out,
and post it on my wall.
