Well,
I don't think it is your hard drive, but I could be wrong. I had a similar
problem three weeks ago. When I restart my Cobalt server, it check the hard
disk and display starting on the display on the front, but nothing more. I
swap the hard disk with an other unit and it wasn't the hard drive. It is
the hardware it self in my case. As of today, I am still waiting to get an
RMA in good form so that I can send the thing back to Cobalt for repair. I
have the units for about 3 month's
In my case it is not a qube but an RaQ2.
This is not much help to you I am sure! Good luck never the less.

help!
at around 2-4am this morning i had noticed that the qube2 kept on
restarting itself (i could hear it and see the green light go on). so, i
shut the thing down and tried from the beginning - sure enough... after
checking the disk, it started to "start" and then seconds into the process,
it would restart itself.
being a semi-pessimist, i thought "great, somebody hacked into the qube2
and decided to screw around"
but then i thought "ok, maybe the hard drive just died" (i wouldn't know
since i've never had any experience with a dying hard drive)
so folks, what do you all think? dying drive or hack-city?
thanks
dave
(i've only had this qube2 for a few months!)
