I don't have a Cube and have never used one, but I have come across server
search programs and log analyzers that explicitly exclude searching and
indexing of files in users home directories.  I believe they do so by
excluding everything with a '~' in the filename.  Check the configuration
for the application in question and remove or modify the line that does this
if it exists.
