Hey, you didn't *have* to pay for a cobalt and all of the perl scripting
that came with it... you could have bought a plain linux box and written the
software yourself...

That's what they said about linux... and sendmail... and....
The key words in the preceeding email:

Notice he said spend the time... security consultants are for those with
neither the time nor the desire to learn, whether thats because you're a CEO
with minimal computer interest, or head of an understaffed IT department.
Sure you don't have to pay for security... but if I had the cash, and lacked
the desire, I would.
